All about the trip
Discover the most traditional and authentic neighborhoods of Granada with this 2-hours tour that will show us all about the history of Albaicín and Sacromonte.
Firstly, we will walk through the declared “one of the most beautiful streets of the world”: La Carrera del Darro, which leads us into the point more appealing for the visitors, el Pase de Los Tristes (“the Walk of the Melancholy”), but why is it called like that?
Through steep narrow labyrinthine streets of the Albayzin, we will be transported into the 11th. Then, in the heart of this neighborhood, the famous viewpoint Mirador de San Nicolas will appear at the exact moment to see the sunset.
Little by little, we will cross the walls of the medieval city to immerse ourselves into the Sacromonte neighborhood, known for its caves, where settlements of gypsy groups were established after the Castilian conquest. Nowadays, Sacromonte has a strong connection with flamenco, since the caves were converted to that end by the Gypsy community.
And the best way to finish the tour, it is in the downtown of Granada, in Plaza Santa Ana, tasting local products with a Sangria.
