Caving tour in Leidarendi cave
- Caving in Leidarendi cave
- A tour where you can see what is underneath all the lava in Iceland
All about the trip
Leiðarendi is a cave about 900 meters long. It is pitch black, without any light, but you will get a helmet and a headlight so you will easily see the wonders that the cave has to offer. You will see magnificent lava formations such as stalactites and drip stalagmites during this underground adventure. You might need to hunch and crawl a bit but all in all the cave gives an easy access to the underworld of the Icelandic lava fields. The lava above the cave was formed more than 2000 years ago.
