You will be able to feel the pace of time from the past: Chiang Kai-shek Memorial, Cheng-en Gate and Longshan Temple, side by side with the present, the urban destination: Ximending Commercial District and Taipei 101 Mall.
Nothing better than a fresh start with every morning face, we will keep those bright and happy faces by taking a group photo at the Grand Hotel, a historical hotel in Taipei. Then we will head to the National Palace Museum, one of the world’s largest museums with a collection of nearly 700,000 pieces of ancient Chinese artifacts and artworks throughout 8,000 years of Chinese art history over multiple dynasties.
After that, we will go to Dadaocheng, a fascinating neighborhood with streets and alleys that present you with a mix of history and present, tradition and modernity. As its heart is Dihua Street, with traditional shops selling dried goods and herbal medicines stores alongside with chic cafés and mini art galleries in well-preserved, the atmospheric street’s many identities provides a whole day of exploration. And to continue with the attraction of history, we will see Cheng-en Gate, one of the 5 historic city gates in Taipei, which was built in Qing Dynasty.
Take a break from all the amazing historical places, let’s have a walk in Ximending Commercial District, one of the most famous and bustling walking streets in Taipei. Here you can rush yourself into hundreds of shopping stores, eat delicious food or just stop and cheer for a street performer. After the lunch break in Ximending, time to find your inner peace and experience Taiwan’s religious practice and culture in Lungshan Temple. Pray for your health and your family, try asking the God about your wish by tossing the divining blocks, if the God says yes, congratulations!
Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall, an impressive monument in memory of the former President Chiang is one of the historical landmarks that we can’t miss. Here you can see the guard changing in the hall, you will be speechless in the formal atmosphere and see the impressive movement of the guards in front of Chiang Kai-shek’s giant statue.
