Combining the classical night-sky observation with a trekking at dusk from the heart of Teide National Park.
Starting during the sunset, we will enjoy the breathtaking landscapes of the Park and the island, while the night comes above our heads. I will guide you through constellations and their mythology, the state of the art in astrophysical research, the history of science and astronomy. By the end of the trekking, we will use a profesional 8-inch telescope to observe the relevant objects of the night.
Difficulty: it depends on your physical condition and trekking experience. The basic trekking, 3 km and 100 m altitude change, should be accesible for most people in 1-1.5 hours. Ask me about trekking options if you want a step ahead.
Duration: 2.5 to 3.5 hours depending on the trail.
Meeting point: to be arranged after a confirmed reservation. Transportation is not included and, if requested, may be arranged aside.
Availability: Wednesdays and Fridays. Please, contact me if you are interested on other days.
Price is per person and taxes included.

You should definitely try this experience! Adal is knowledgable, very friendly, full of amazing stories and the environment is jaw-droppingly beautiful. He kept us up to date about the weather conditions so as to have a perfect night for viewing. The drinks and snacks were local and very tasty, which was a nice bonus. Highly recommended for everyone, young and old, expert and beginner – Adal will make you feel enthusiasm about our universe. He explains very clearly and, if you wish, very deeply the secrets of the stars, embedding historical and mythological knowledge into recent developements of science. All this you might get when you read several books, but Adal shows it in the sky so you can see it while you hear the explanations. So to hear and see this, for example the line of the planets, the milky way in the spiral arm, the young and old star clusters, gave me the missing links I was looking for. Adal also cares a lot, he brought a selection of tea and hot water, as we had mentioned we like tea, bakery, cheese, chocolate… in a fine basket that we could enjoy while he set up his telescope. Thank you so much for everything, Adal and all the very best for you!

Amazing experience! Started with wonderful sunrise and ended with thousands of stars. In the end, we got delicious chocolate croissants from the local market. Adal is an amazing storyteller, it was very interesting to listen to him the whole time and the atmosphere was very friendly.
