All about the trip
With arguably one of the best skylines in the world, the city of Hong Kong has more 500ft high buildings than any other city. It’s title of “the world's most vertical city” is easy to understand once you see it from the air.
Departing from the easily-located Wan Chai Helipad, which is situated right on the river, you will begin by flying towards the city’s business quarter. Home to many famous international companies' headquarters, the business quarter is an awesome location to take photos of.
As you fly-out across the water of Victoria Harbour, the tallest building of Hong Kong, the ICC, will also be facing you. You definitely don’t miss the opportunity to take photos of this towering icon.
After this, you will discover the Finance Center of the city which also includes the second-highest building in Hong Kong. All around, there are 360º views of the Chinese megalopolis movement, encapsulated in a city where its vibrancy is celebrated daily.
If you pay close attention, you will see the pier connecting the business quarter and Tsim Sha Tsui, a very famous district of Hong Kong well known for its harbour, shopping, nightlife and its many seafood restaurants.
As the 18-minute flight begins to conclude, you will be able to enjoy the views of beautiful beaches and the Hong Kong bay as they roll below you. Finally, the helicopter flight finishes by flying over the Golf field and the Kai Tak airport.
With so much of Hong Kong to see in all directions, please remember to charge your camera batteries and bring an extra memory card with you. We know from first-hand experience that you will want to take more photos than you originally intended! On this trip in particular, you will want to be ready to take photos as soon as the flight begins.
Also, don’t forget to bring some sunglasses too, as it can get quite bright when flying over the river on summer days. Remember to arrive 30 mins earlier than the flight time as there will be a briefing on helicopter safety from your pilot.
