All about the trip
Cameron Highlands a hill resort, at 1 500 meters, is in the State of Pahang, with Temperatures 10 – 25 degrees of Celsius. It was discovered by Sir William Cameron in 1885, a British surveyor. After the breakfast we depart for the Cameron Highlands, we visit Batu Caves – climb 272 steps into the temple of Hindu deity who is honored during the Hindu festival of Thaipusam every year. Ladies have to be properly attired to enter the temple. Only the upper and lower parts of the body to be covered during the tour if you intend to enter the temple. Cascading waterfalls are a beautiful place for some photo shooting. Souvenirs, tribal handicrafts, strange herbs and aphrodisiacs are available at the roadside stalls. Visit an aborigine village for a blowpipe demonstration. Their primitive lifestyle is here to stay. A lunch at Tanah Rata at 13:00 – the biggest town in the Camerons. Visit the tea plantation – a vast scenery of greenery. The tea plantation works hand in hand with the WWF and the Malaysian Nature society in the conservation of our elephants and the orangutan. Purchases made by you at the tea shop goes into the conservation funds. Enjoy photo shoot and walking at the plantation. The butterfly farm is a secret paradise hosting some 5 000 butterflies that dance on scented flowers and ferns. We will arrange a farm guide for you. The landscaped gardens, exotic plants, fresh water turtles and insects are also just as stunning. You can handpick fresh strawberries for your own consumption. Finally visit a farm to see how vegetables are grown.
