All about the trip
At the beginning of this tour, we will take the boat to Mingun. Mingun is a village well-known for its fascinating Mingun Bell. This small town is one of the four ancient cities around Mandalay, and it is rich in historical and cultural heritage, including monasteries and meditation centers to explore. The Mingun Bell is still the world's largest intact bell, which weighs about 90 tons.
Our tour will continue to the Mingun Pagoda, one of the famous monuments in the world. It is also known as the world’s largest unfinished pagoda. The Mingun Pagoda is the gigantic pile of bricks in the world. It was not finished, because King Bodawpaya, who tried to build this pagoda, died in 1819. Top of the Mingun Pagoda offers a marvelous view of the natural beauty of Ayeyarwaddy River and green and pleasant Minwun Hill.
Before we join the boat trip back to Mandalay, you will see the Hsinbyume Pagoda. This pagoda is also known as Myatheindan Pagoda and is famous for an utterly stunning white design. Our guide will drop you off at your hotel with lots of beautiful memories of this perfect day.
