All about the trip
The tour starts with a visit to the Citadel of Salah El Din, which was constructed by Salah El Din on the Moqattam hills in 1183 AD to defend Cairo from the armies of Crusaders.
After that, we will visit Mohamed Ali Alabaster Mosque, which was designed by the architect Yousif Boushnaq, a Turkish man who came from Istanbul to built this grand mosque for Mohamed Ali. Mohamed Ali ruled Egypt for over 45 years (1805-1849).
Then we will visit Sultan Hassan and El-Refaie Mosques. After that we will proceed to Ibn Tulun Mosque, followed by Al-Azhar famous mosque and the First Islamic university.
