All about the trip
Visit a screaming scenery of nature at its unspoiled best. Our experienced nature guide will tell you the facts during jungle trekking to the Teresek Hills. He knows Taman Negara like the back of his hand. After breakfast at your hotel, depart for Kuala Tahan, Taman Negara and en route bonus stop: Batu caves – climb 272 steps into the temple of Hindu deity who is honored during the Hindu festival of Thaipusam in January or February every year. Ladies to be properly attired to enter the temple. On arrival at Taman Negara walk up the Canopy walkway to catch a bird’s eye glimpse of the world’s oldest rainforest. Jungle trekking to the Teresek Hills – the experienced nature guide will belt out facts and fancies about the varied flora and fauna in Taman Negara during trekking. He will uncover the secrets of the forest. If we are lucky we could see the lesser animals like the flying fox, the monkeys, or a tiger. At 13:00, we will eat lunch at the Floating Cafe. After a short breather, we go for rapids shooting - the boatman thrills you as he negotiates 7 sets of rapids. You will get a “chance” to get wet. Aborigine village visit - the Batek tribe have been living environment-friendly lives. The Rainforest is their supermarket. You will get an insight of their fire-making skills, blowpipe hunting techniques, taboo and secrets. At 17:00, we will return to Floating Cafe. Freshen up and depart for Kuala Lumpur for drop off at the hotel.
