All about the trip
Yes, you heard right! Kayaking in winter. This is the perfect trip for the unexperienced kayakers or the ones who want a nice and different introduction to the Art Nouveau town of Ålesund. Cold water is perfectly clear and you can see the fish and starfish.
This winter kayaking trip is without a doubt one of the most adventurous ways to explore Ålesund during this time of the year.
We meet up at our activity center at Notenesgata 3 in Ålesund city where we will have a perfect starting point for our trip. Here we will introduce you to all the mandatory equipment like a dry suite, spraydeck, neoprene gloves and boots. After that, we will have a safety briefing before it´s time to leave. When you get dressed in drysuit and get down in the kayak it´s actually really warm. Your whole lower body will be warm in the kayak and the upper part will be moving most of the time. On these trips, we use our stable tandem kayaks which will ensure a great experience. All our guides are kayak guides and they have great local knowledge which will guarantee a great day out on the water.
