All about the trip
Bari is the capital city of the Bari and Apulia region, located next to the Adriatic Sea, in southern Italy. It's a quintessential Italian city that is rich in historic, seafaring traditions. So why not let an experienced tour-guide show you around?
So let's explore Bari together in order to discover hidden gems that regular tourists normally miss! We'll stroll through Bari's city streets at a relaxed-pace on this tour.
Together with your multilingual guide, you will soon learn about Bari's fascinating history, folklore and culture as we explore the city's streets. We'll head down narrow alleyways, discover hidden historical sites and talk with locals about life in Bari.
Our tour begins by visiting the main attractions of the old town such as the Basilica of Saint Nicholas and its Crypt, the ancient Cathedral of Saint Sabinus and the millenary Swabian Castle.
We explore Bari's old town in great depth and here there will also be a chance to try some delicious local treats such as cheese, salami, primitivo wine and home-made gelato; the old town really does have it all.
As we head away from the old town, we'll cruise down cobbled streets, see old ladies still making pasta by hand, watch kids playing street football and walk past people cooking outside; typical traditional Italian life, just the way it's always been.
The tour ends with us discovering the modern French part of the city with its opera theatres, luxury shopping streets, famous fish markets and beautiful sea-front walk.
