All about the trip

You will meet your guide in central Nyaung Shwe, where you will go over some basic safety instructions, and he will help you to select the right bicycle to can travel comfortably. After that, you will cycle to the local villages and countryside. You'll get to witness genuine local life away from the crowds. Red roads open up the views of the countryside with the lake and beautiful surroundings. We'll make some individual stops along the way to check out the main highlights of this tour. After moving briefly to wider roads, we'll arrive in the small town of Khaung Daing. Here we'll ride through the village seeing medieval bread kilns, tofu production, rice wine distilling and rice cracker drying. You will have a chance to sample some of these specialties along the way.

After exploring Khaung Daing and refreshing on local snacks, we will take a long-tail boat. This boat will take us along with the bicycles to your first trip on the water. This trip takes us through the maze of unique floating gardens to the Inle Lake. The boat will continue towards our very own secret destination, an isolated peninsula. After we arrive at the exclusive location, we'll take the bikes again. We will take a little-used rural route along dirt trails, beside water channels and rice paddies.

After the adventure in the countryside, we'll return to a different section of the lake, where the long-tail boat will be waiting for us. We will arrive at a more quiet area of the lake, where we can relax and enjoy a home-cooked lunch at a local Shan house. We will then take the kayaks and paddle through three villages around floating tomato gardens. The long tail boat will follow us, so it is entirely up to you, how far you want to go by kayak. The ship takes us back to the Nyang Shwe, where our tour ends.
