All about the trip
We will start by hiking 50 minutes uphill on an easy to moderate trail, until well reach one of the most stunning summits of Rio de Janeiro, the Pedra Bonita. The view from this mountain reveals the amazing landscape of Rio, where the ocean, lagoons and the rainforest combine like an art piece. From a unique angle, you'll also see the famous Pedra da Gávea, the biggest monolith close to the ocean in the world (842m).
The hike will take us through Tijuca Forest National Park, one of the biggest urban forests in the world with 40 km2. A beautiful tropical and green lush, flora and fauna, where we can see monkeys, coatis and toucans. The tour also includes a stop by the Chinese view, one of the most impressive summits of Rio. On this tour, you’ll discover the Brazilian and Rio’s history, Tijuca forest and learn all about coffee farms that used to exist there, and the forestation that took place in the 19th century.

Please note, that children can participate if accompanied by a parent or another responsible person who must sign a waiver statement.
Instructions
Transport is included in most part of South Zone of Rio, where 95% of the accommodations are located. These are the neighbourhoods: Leblon, Ipanema, Copacabana, Leme, Botafogo, Flamengo, Glória, Catete and Santa Teresa (with a few exceptions of streets and areas).
