All about the trip
Join us to enjoy a peaceful day of sightseeing around the countryside of Dalat. We'll visit many of the highlights of Dalat's countryside, such as the Van Thanh flower village, the Me Linh coffee plantation, the Elephant Falls and a cricket farm, just to name a few.
Our day of leisurely sightseeing begins with collection from your hotel in Dalat. From there we'll head to our first stop, the Van Thanh traditional flower village. At the flower village, you will have the opportunity to learn all about the thousands of flowers that grow here. We will also go into the greenhouses and learn about the many different methods used to grow flowers here. It's a beautiful sight indeed and we're sure you'll enjoy taking many photos to the tune of this colorful backdrop.
Next, we'll visit the Dalat 'Fairytale Land' which is a newly discovered village here. It's a magical land, a haven for dwarves who want to live separately from the noisy world. This beautiful, mysterious village was created entirely by its own happy residents. You'll easily find out why it's called Fairytale Land once you get here.
Our third stop of the morning will be the Ta Nung Ethnic Village. Here we can meet some of the original people of Dalat. These villagers had been living here in Dalat long before french Came in 1893. This is a great place to learn more about the real history of Vietnam and what life in a rural village is really like.
The next visit will be to the infamous cricket farm! On this farm, they raise thousands of crickets and other insects with high protein for human consumption. For brave travelers, you'll have a chance to try some deep-fried crickets! We're sure that you'll like it, we think it's the best food in Dalat!
Our fifth stop of the day will be the Me Linh coffee plantation. At this plantation, they not only grow their own coffee, but they also roast it here on-site and sell it from their very own cafe. The taste doesn't get any fresher! The complex stretches out on the side of a large hill. It consists of many seating areas, a shop, café and weasel living quarters. Their specialty, of course, is the Kopi Luwak coffee, otherwise known as the "weasel coffee" which is created using a highly unique process...we won't spoil the surprise for you, but be rest assured that we have tasted it before, and you know what? It's actually pretty darn good!
The Elephant Waterfalls will be our sixth stop of the day. You know, among the many things to see and do in Dalat, the Elephant Waterfall is easily one of the most epic. At 40 meters high, this is an incredibly majestic waterfall. We will walk slowly down from the top to bottom so you can take as many photos as you like.
Our next stop will be the incredible, Linh An Pagoda. Known internationally because of its location and exquisite architecture, Linh An Pagoda covers an area of 4 hectares with many kinds of trees. It is a very peaceful location indeed situated roughly 30 km outside of Dalat. You can also view the biggest happy buddha and lady buddha in southern Vietnam here too.
Next up we will visit the traditional silk factory. Here you can observe how silk is harvested from cocoons and see how silk products come into fruition. The process itself is quite fascinating and has been a long-standing part of Vietnamese history.
Saving the best until last, our final stop will be 'The Crazy House'. You might be wondering why we would want to visit this crazy looking place. Your first impressions of The Crazy House will leave you confused, asking what on earth you’re looking, at but trust us; there is a reason for this madness. We won't ruin the surprise for you, we'll just let you find out for yourself. Afterwards we will return you to your hotel in Dalat.
