All about the trip

Get ready for a wet and wild adventure in the mountains of Teno, known for its rugged volcanic terrain. Witness the ancient lava flows that once ravaged and formed the island. Canyoning is an activity that is action-packed and full of adrenaline at every turn.

At the beginning of the tour, we will put on the provided wetsuits, climbing equipment and go through the safety procedures. During this session, you will learn how to use the climbing equipment as well as what to expect while on the excursion. Safety is of the utmost importance when in the canyon, this is the best opportunity to ask our experienced guide any questions you may have. It will take 10 minutes to walk to the canyon. Once we arrive, we will jump into the cool water, slide down natural and use the rappels for further descent into the canyon. Our guide will lead you every step of the way on your adventure ensuring safety and fun!

At the end of the canyon, you will be on dry land as if in a desert surrounded by cacti as tall as 2-meters. You will truly feel a sense of accomplishment after your hard work. Once we are on dry land, we will take off our wetsuits and enjoy the sunshine. This is also where you will enjoy your well-deserved packed lunch; take this time to stretch and prepare for the journey back. The 2-hour climb back is arduous and will take skill and patience; prepare for a steep ascent back up the canyon. The journey back is a combination of walking and climbing along high cliffs. After we’ve made it to the start point by the car, we can once again change into dry clothes and enjoy a rest.
