All about the trip

If you want to see Etna volcano in a unique way, this tour is for you. The adventure starts with a ride to the cable car station, which takes you to an altitude of 2,500 meters. From here, you go up 500 meters more onboard Jeep to get to the summit craters. At an altitude of 3,000 meters, you have panoramic views all around Etna park.

Back to the 4x4, you head to the lava flows which threatened entire country during the time of their eruption. We will see extinct craters, the majestic Caldera Valle del Bove, the endemic flora and the typical vegetation of volcanic soils.

You also have the chance to go into meanders of the volcano, visiting a lava tube with helmets and torches to understand the phenomenon linked to flowing of the lava. Our guide will enrich your excursion by explaining the countless natural and volcanology aspects of the largest volcano of Europe, nominated UNESCO World Heritage.

What to take with you?

Don’t forget to bring your hiking shoes (also available for rent), windbreaker jacket or sweatshirt, water, and camera.
You can rent shoes (3€), windbreaker jacket (2€), and hiking sticks (2€) from us.

We can also arrange a transfer from hotels in Catania and villages nearby Etna, from Taormina or other places outside the province.
